SWOT Analysis of Indian Cricket team for upcoming Worldcup 2019

Strength

• Rohit (Rank 2) & Sikhar (Rank 13) has good performance in England pitches.

• Kohli has got Cricketer of the year in all three format and is rank 1.

• Hardik Pandya is in his prime form.

• Bumrah(Rank 1) & Shami has performed good in last odi

• England is having flat wickets these days. Average score would be 320+, Kuldeep & Chahal both wrist spinner would be very useful in situation.

Weakness

• When we are willing to play with 4 seamers and If bumrah, shami or bhuvi gets a niggle we would not have any replacement.

• Its a long series of 11 matches if ones plays the final, we cannot rest or rotate our pace bowlers.

• Teams like Australiya, England, New Zealand is have 6 pace bowlers, But we are going only 4 pace options excluding Vijay Shankar.

• No 4 , No 6 is not fixed DK n Kedar both have issues on performance and fitness.

• We have only 1 All rounder (Pandya) in team as kedars bowling is on doubt post shoulder injury, Jadega has not batted well in near past matches.

• We dont have any option of left arm pace attack.

Oppurtunity

• This time schedule has been made in such a way that every team has to play with others. Not like past wc mathches when a team disqualifies witnessing an upset from any lower teams.

• Pandiya & Dhoni is in prime form makes Indias best opportunity to win this time.

Threats

• England have 10 batsmen out of its Playing XI and is in Prime form now.

• arner & Smith inclusion in Australian team makes them more destructive this time..
